waiting in a que

athens-078-crop.jpgathens-030-crop.jpg  Trains are flirty places. Train stations too. Erica Yong established this in Fear of flying.

While trying to book an impossible, inexistent last minute ticket, i waited for 2 hours in the central station of Athens next to this ”fresh out of London University” geek, where he studied robotics or something equally impressive. A nice guy really, who just before we parted -each with our rare ticket in hand- took a deep breath, blushed and asked for my number. I suddenly realised he had a friend with him at the back who had discretely withdrawn all that time and who had perhaps dared him to do this courageous act -ask for my number. I gave it to him explaining it would be almost impossible to meet in Thessaloniki as i had to see friends and do stuff. He said it would be nice to meet and talk about Manchester, Liverpool and London where we had both studied/ been. On the first day of Christmas he rang but i was busy trying to clean up the house after the party and completely engrossed in other people. He was nice once again, he said, okay i ll give you my number and maybe you ”ll call. And then he sent an sms with New Year wishes.   (I shoud have invited him to the party. There were lots of nice girls his age.)

oh, yes, what a pity, he lost so many nice girls at that party. but if u still want to find him a nice girl (instead of keeping him for yourself maybe?), there’s always a chance.
Why don’t you put his foto here and his phonenumber? Some friends of me read your post and are already interested in that London Univercity geek.
